13 years ago, after realizing just how much I had learned on my many journeys, I realized that my adventure-loving, detail-driven personality would make me the perfect travel consultant.
I had long enjoyed telling my friends and family members about my exciting vacations and giving them advice about their respective trips, but until this revelation occurred, I failed to realize that I could make a career by pursuing three of the things I love most: researching unique destinations, travelling to those destinations and then using my experience to help others.
So in 2012, I walked away from my 23-year corporate marketing career (with a major grocery retailer) to open up my very own travel agency.
I now specialize in helping clients find the best travel solutions. I help wade through the information, narrow down the options and explain the trip details and pricing in a way that will allow you, the client to make the best and most informed decision.
The more pre-panning that can be done, the fewer decisions will be required on the trip, the lower the risk of unexpected issues arising and the more relaxing and enjoyable the trip will be.
When it comes to cruises, I am an expert – I’ve completed 50 different sailings to date and have experienced most of the cruise lines that are out there from large ocean cruises, luxury cruises and my personal favourite, River cruises!
